Chapter 151. A Christmas of Truths and Togetherness

Din pushed open the door and went inside. A few minutes after James advised him to give Jessie some time off, he went in search of Jessie. Bev gave him the heads-up that Jessie was in the room down the stairs on the left side of the house.

Din could see Jessie sitting and encircling her legs with her arms. Her head was bowed. He inhaled as he approached her and sat a few inches away from her. He shifted his gaze away from her and cocked his head up. "This room has lots of memories in it," he said, rubbing his hands together. "This is my parents' room, Jess. I remember clearly how much I loved to play in this room when they were still around." He sniffed, and Jessie could see that he was once more experiencing loneliness.

She took a proper seat, elevating her head toward him and putting her feet firmly on the ground. "It is a very beautiful room." When she spoke, he turned to face her. She met his gaze. "It is a beautiful room, Din."
