Chapter 106

“Are you sure you want to go back to New York first?” Halter asked Celine, knowing she was having a hard time deciding, especially after seeing them with her ex-husband together the night before.

They are currently sitting in a garden while drinking coffee.

A few seconds before Celine could answer, she was actually having a hard time going back to New York especially after seeing Leon last night and knowing that he remembered her; it appears that she wants to stay in England to be with him. No, she knew it was wrong. She wanted to act to protect herself. She must overcome her feelings for Leon in order to begin her life without him.

Celine raised her head slightly, nodded, and looked at Halter.

“I’m going back to New York. I’m going to find a job to get back to Cambridge. My life is not in New York or England.” she says.

Halter noticed that Celine was determined in her decision but there was no denying the sadness and longing in her eyes.
