Chloe rushes back inside the Bridgertons building; Stephen is her target. But it was Kallen who met him in the hallway; Kallen noticed that Chloe’s face couldn’t be painted due to her foul mood; he couldn’t figure out why, so he just remembered what happened during her introduction to the competitor.

“Perhaps she didn’t get what she wanted,” Kallen suspected, shaking his head. Then he went straight to Leon’s office to get the papers he needed to finish.
