Chapter 46

The man in the long black shirt then returned as he left after teasing Rose, with a bowl of bread and a glass of warm milk in both hands. A small smile played on his lips as he finally said, "Eat up. You must be exhausted from last night."

Rose smiled back. She had no idea that Antonio could be this sweet even though he had been so annoying before. Both of her hands readily accepted the bread from Antonio and started munching on it, while Antonio placed the warm milk on the nightstand.

"Did you make it yourself?"

And Antonio nodded yes. He, who was still standing on the edge of the bed, put his hands in his pants pockets and muttered. "Do you like it?"

"Yeah, it's not bad."

"It's good that it doesn't taste bad."

Rose lifted the bun filled with meat and vegetables into the air, then said, "Thank you for your kindness today, Mr. Antonio."

"And actually..."
