Chapter 31. Threatening Laura Before Her Boyfriend

POV Nathan 

I got home early because I was too posted to focus on work anymore. If Laura was seeing other men even when we were together, then I need to find out who they were and it an end to it. Who knows if she was planning to divorce me before now. I guess she was already tired of our marriage before now, and If I’d taken a while longer to serve her those papers, maybe she would have asked for divorce herself, or even leave without asking for a damn divorce. 

As I sat in the dining having my dinner, I kept thinking of a way to convince her to stay without hurting her feelings or making her feel caged or controlled. If I’d known this much about her before, I would never have asked for a divorce. Now I want her back, and I can’t even open up to her without sounding stupid and pathetic. I’ll just have to convince her to stay by making her fall in love with me.
