Chapter 23
Emma's life was messed up. She felt even more at rock bottom for now having to look at the tattoo she'd impulsively, almost idiotically, gotten on her wrist. But in her heart, that meaning was still warm. She constantly wondered what Sebastian had done to make her heart go out to him so much.
Emma remembered the few boys that one day agreed to go out on a date. None had ever aroused anything in her, not even a carnal interest or whatever other kinds of interest there were. No one, other than Sebastian, had moved her so much.
And in that second, she was forced to wear an elbow-length sleeved blouse to cover up her parents' tattoo as she packed the last of her room's things. The books were already in boxes, her clothes were separated, waiting to be folded and packed, and others were already in a box that would go for donation, as it no longer fit her.
