Chapter 41

"Did you plan all of this?" Emma asked as she sat down after Sebastian also made a point of pulling the chair out for him.

"Not even a little." he chuckled. "I just used a little leverage on the owner of the place and got a reservation. He's a longtime customer."

"Same?!" Emma's eyes widened.

"Excuse me." one of the waiters approached and handed the wine list to both of them. "What do you want to drink today?"

"Bring me a bottle of your best and sweetest wine, my lady does not like strong drink."

"Sure, just a minute, sir." the man collected the letter and another handed over the menus.

"How chic, love!" Emma whispered, making Sebastian chuckle.

They looked like two fools, which was even nice to experience. They were once again acting like an ordinary couple.

They ate, talked, drank and had fun. And at the end of the night, Sebastian took Emma to the same beach she'd first taken him to, walking hand in hand as they watched the waves.
