I knew I was playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with my mate and if I didn’t get my wolf out of there, I can guarantee that neither of us would have made it to the presentation of the pack’s Gamma. I had met Beta Don in my office as I waited for Adeline, he had updated me on border patrol, last minute banquet details and the final guest list.
