I stand here under the stream of water spitting from the bronze colored shower head. I feel like my worries are physically melting away as my muscles relax under the trail of warmth spewing against my skin. I decide to live in the moment, even if that’s all it is. Just a moment that’ll pass by all too quickly. Yet it’s a moment that still manages to pull me from the reality surrounding me.
I turn off the water and wrap my body in the plush white towel that Jaxon had stocked daily under the sink. I glare in the mirror at my reflection, I know I don’t have much time until the presentation of the Gamma. I could call the same maids that did Sophia’s hair and makeup but I decided against it as it would take too long. Instead, I put my faith in all the hair and make-up tricks that Bailey had taught me. I couldn’t mess this up too badly, could I?
