As I arrived back at the grand pack house, I didn’t even bother to go find Don; I needed to check on my little mate immediately.

I wasn’t sure what I would say to her after our last difficult conversation, but I knew what I had to do. I knew I had to break down every heavy wall she had carefully put up between her and me.
