Chapter 52. Shards of Regret

Adeline POV

Tears flowed freely down my face while anger tingled through my body, I couldn’t help but feel the betrayal sear and burn my heart. I could feel a fire taking over deep inside of me, I was marked against my will. My mind raced trying to figure out when, how and why this could have all happened, I had so many questions that were followed with no answers. I dragged my body over to the bed and flopped onto it, curling myself into a tight ball like I was in a fetus position. I was left in the same room that I had been attacked in alone to comfort myself. Uncontrollable sobs soon took over, lulling me into the depths of sleep.

Nightmares that felt so real brimmed through my dreams, images of the marbled coloured rogue wolf with his canines completely extended hunting me.
