The evil that had claimed stake on my pack was eerily reminiscent of the pain that Midnight Moon had already suffered a time before, it was a sorrow that would once again follow and probe us all. While I couldn’t purge the world of the darkness that lingered in the shadows, sometimes disguised, I could defend what looms within my pack borders. The pit in my stomach would serve as a constant reminder of the fact that my mother was now forever gone, sacrificing herself to save her son. My wolf was desperate to be near his mate, somehow her presence always seemed to save me from my own battles.
