“No, I couldn’t sleep,” Mekhi admits.
“Hey, is everything ok?” Zayne queried. Though Mekhi gets on his nerves, he does care for Mekhi. Mekhi is his best Pallywal.
“The usual,” Mekhi says, sort of down couraged.
Already assuming it is Sacha because Mekhi did say the usual, after all. And Zayne knew there was nothing he could have done about that, or was there? He began to wonder. But for now, he simply said, “Oh, hang in there, buddy.”
