Chapter 28
Harper's POV
In my defence, I wasn’t actually trying to make him finish. I just wanted to test the theory, to see if he really did like pain as much as I suspected. Clearly, I got my answer, because he absolutely does. A lot more than I was prepared for, apparently.
Now he’s standing over me, glaring like I’ve broken some kind of unspoken rule, and for a second, I feel the flicker of nerves in my stomach. I don’t want to be in trouble. Well, not real trouble. Not the kind that makes him stop.
So I do the only thing I can think of to shift the energy, to distract him from the fact that I pushed him too far, too fast. I let my teeth catch on the lip he bit earlier, gnawing at the skin that’s already split.
