Patrick Banks POV

I made sure to call my mom every day, just to check up on her health. Things were finally getting back to normal between us and I was sincerely grateful.

I always made sure to be careful and choose my words wisely whenever I spoke to her. I didn’t want to say the wrong thing that would make her upset.

For a while, our conversations had been filled with tension and I didn’t want to get back to that. I also asked her to talk to Madeline and convince her that I wasn’t responsible for anything.

But she said she couldn’t do that part and it was up to me to prove to my sister that I was innocent.

After my routine call with her ended, I made my way to the bathroom and indulged in a quick shower. Then I started preparing to leave for work.

I dropped the kids off at school first before heading over to the office. When I got there, my assistant told me that Fredrick was showing up at the office later in the day.

He wasn’t mean
