Patrick Banks POV

“I think I’m going to give up.” I let out a deep sigh as I leaned my back against the chair. “I think she has made up her mind and there is nothing I can do about it.”

Jordan shook his head without hesitation. “Don’t say that, Patrick. Don’t give up, you can still make her change her mind.”

I swallowed hard. “Didn’t you see how she reacted during lunch? I think I’m done for…Valerie doesn’t want me anymore.”

He let out a deep sigh. “There are still some things you haven’t tried. You love this woman and you shouldn’t give up.” He said, trying to sound convincing. “Both of you are perfect for each other.”

A low breath escaped my lips. “I’m starting to look desperate, maybe it’s time for me to accept that she doesn’t want me and move on with my life.”
