Even though I knew Valerie’s relationship wasn’t real, I still felt jealous as she left the house to go out with that man.

But I couldn’t do anything about it.

I tried to convince myself that it was all part of the plan to get rid of him. But at the same time, my skin still crawled at the thought of them even holding hands.

Valerie shared her location with me as soon as she left. I was grateful that she wasn’t keeping secrets from me anymore.

A few hours after she left, I met up with Jordan at a bar. We had several things to catch up on.

Jordan was already waiting for me there.

“Hey.” I breathed as I sat down beside him.

He responded with a small smile. “Hey.”

The bartender poured us a few shots, and we drank before we started discussing. “I’ve thought about how we would get rid of Fredrick.” He said as he dropped his glass on the counter.
