Valerie Will POV

I got access to the security camera and confirmed that it was Patrick who took Liam. Was he out of his mind? Why would he come to Texas just to give me a heart attack?

The school management kept on apologizing for their carelessness.

I didn’t even care to listen to their apology.

What if it was someone else who had taken my son?

What if it was a dangerous person? I didn’t even want to imagine that kind of scenario. I was a little bit relieved that he was with Patrick.

At least I knew that Patrick wouldn’t hurt my baby.

I stormed out of the school building and got to my car.

I let down deep multiple breaths as I sat down on the driver’s seat.

Then I pulled out my phone and dialed Patrick’s number.

He answered on the second ring. “Why did you kidnap my son?” I asked without trying to hide the irritation in my voice. “Why would you do something like that?”
