Valerie Will POV

“Hey, baby.” I planted a soft kiss on Liam’s forehead as I approached their booth. “How are you doing?” I asked, placing my hands around his shoulder.

He beamed with excitement as he saw me. “I’m fine.” He replied, giving me a side hug. “This man bought my favorite ice cream.” He pointed at Patrick.

Patrick was quiet.

He just watched as Liam and I talked.

There was no use hiding the truth from Liam anymore. He deserved to know who Patrick was. With a deep sigh, I sat down beside Liam.

“I want to talk to you about something.”

He raised a brow at me. “What is it?”

I hesitated for a moment. Was I about to make the right decision?

But then, it was time to stop lying to my son.

“You know how you’ve been asking me about your father?” I asked and he responded with a quiet nod. “Things were complicated, so I was waiting for the right time to tell you,” I added, brushing a stray curl from his forehead.
