Chapter 82

Patrick Banks POV

“Jessica, I don’t have time for your tantrums this morning,” I said, letting out a frustrated sigh. “I can’t take Noah because I have to take Liam to the hospital.”

Jessica shook her head, her arms folded as she blocked my path. “You just met Liam thirty minutes ago and you’re choosing him over Noah?”

I let out a bitter scoff. “I’m not choosing anybody. I just can’t leave the house with Noah.” I continued, trying to reason with her.

But Jessica wasn’t having it.

She knew exactly what she was doing.

It wasn’t like I even asked her to leave my house with Noah, I gave her two options — stay with him until I return or leave him with the nanny.

But she refused, she insisted that I leave with Noah.

It wasn’t possible. I couldn’t take Noah because Valerie was going to be there. That wasn’t how I planned for them to meet.

Besides, it was her sister’s child. Jessica was the one who was meant to introduce them together. B
