Chapter 99. Love Confessions

Elsie's POV

Yes, I said it, exhaling slowly, I released all the oxygen that was pent up in my chest, it was so hard to force myself to admit it but I did and I felt good.

Was this how relieving it was for Albie any time he told me that he loved me? What was this feeling of peace and happiness at admitting how one felt? It was so good to say it.

His eyes widened in what emotion I wasn't sure of. Was it a surprise or a shock? Whatever it was, it made him stare at me blankly.

Maybe I wasn't supposed to say it but I did and there was no turning back from it now. It was time I stopped being afraid of feeling, of falling in love, and of being loved.

At this very moment, even if Albie rejected me and said he didn't love me anymore, I wouldn't still mind. My heart was free of the emotion that was choking it.
