Chapter 219. Battle Against the Fiendish Demon

Darkness suddenly shrouded his vision. A growing sense of vertigo consumed him, causing him to slip into unconsciousness. A cacophony of indistinct voices filled his ears, their desperate pleas echoing eerily: "Hold the line! Press forward, retreat not! The city stands with its people, it falls with them!"

Time seemed to dilate, and amidst the tumult, Benjamin's consciousness slowly resurfaced. Opening his eyes, he was met with the visage of a wide-eyed youth, about sixteen or seventeen, clutching a long spear, the very object that had inadvertently collided with him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" The young soldier's voice quivered with a mixture of fear and regret.

As Benjamin's gaze flitted around, absorbing the scenes of chaos, he realized he was amidst a battleground, right before the city gates - the exact spot from where he was initially teleported.

"You there, what are you dawdling for? To the gates! We cannot let them breach!" An authoritative voice boomed.
