Chapter 71. Our Sons
Upon arriving at the hospital, Brent carried Allison straight to the Emergency Room. The doctor quickly attended to her and assessed her situation. Afterward, he injected anesthesia, and once it took effect, he began pulling out the glass fragments stuck on Allison’s foot.
Instead of being concerned about her injured foot, she felt like she was floating on air because Brent was standing next to her, holding her hands and kissing them. She used to be afraid of being in a hospital, but now she just wanted to lie on the hospital bed forever, staring at Brent.
