Chapter 66
Emily’s POV
I was having a strange dream. I was surrounded by darkness, but the smells and sounds made me feel like I was in a clinic.
I could smell the sharp scent of alcohol. Something was beeping—a steady sound that matched the rhythm of my heart.
I wanted to get away from that sound; I hated it. With every beep, I drifted further away, sinking deeper and deeper into the dark.
"Hello, Emily."
A huge white wolf walked out of the shadows. She was glowing with a soft light. Her golden eyes looked into mine. I reached out and touched the white moon on her forehead.
"Nyx," I whispered.
"How do I look?" she asked.
"Powerful," I said. "You are bigger than any wolf I have ever seen."
"Because I am," she said with pride. She turned to leave. "You are not finished yet, Emily. Keep searching."
I went deeper into my mind. I walked for what felt like forever until I felt a spark. I spun around, waiting for the spark
