Chapter 44

I was still struggling, but I was becoming weaker as a result of what I smelled. I'm losing strength. I want to fight, but I'm running out of energy. I wanted to scream but couldn't since my lips and nose were covered. I just realized I'd gone unconscious.

I moved my body and gently opened my eyes. When I regained consciousness, my eyes widened to see that I was tied to a chair. My mouth is covered, and I'm unable to move much.

I tried to recall the last thing that had happened to me, and all I could think of was how someone had covered my mouth while I was in that hotel room. Was I abducted? I looked around and noticed that I appeared to be in an abandoned location. It's dark, and it appears that no one has been there in a long time.

It's terrifying. I'm single and pregnant. What am I doing here? Why am I chained? What is going on?
