Chapter 6

Every gaze at her made him tremble. He found it difficult to breathe. "Is it because I miss her? I should hate her. I shouldn't feel this way." Rodrigo tries to hold himself back, but he fails.

Her pretty dark eyes suddenly gathered tears. The red veins in her eyes became more intense. He could see she was in pain, yet his words cut sharper than a knife.

He still loves her. His heart was rising. His saliva was gulping down his throat. Yet he tightened his grip on the documents as every glance at her and Jose's picture made him feel like an arrow had pierced his heart.

"I didn't get engaged to him so that I could find you." He noticed the way she bit her lower lips. He knew she was lying. She hasn't changed a bit. She would always savage her lower lips whenever she was lying.

"So I guess you are in love with him, right?" He curled his lips in a sneer.
