Chapter 74. The Silver Dagger

He started the engine and drove away. As night fell, he came to a stop on the street he had seen online. “Are we in the right location?” He used his compass to double-check. “Just a little bit more.” As soon as he restarted the vehicle, the compass pointed him in the right direction. 

Detective Saul and Vickie were scanning the deserted street when they arrived. “Why is this place deserted this late in the evening? It is only 6 p.m.” Vickie inquired.

“I am not sure.” According to his compass reading, the arrow pointed in the direction of a specific door. Detective Saul exited his vehicle and walked up to the door.

As he began to knock, he was dripping sweat from behind his ears. Of course, the street was quiet. He doesn’t understand why. When he knocked again, the door opened. A man stood directly in front of him. He was enormous and dressed in a filthy cloth.
