Asper’s POV

“Mira!” I jumped at her and hugged her tight when she arrived at my house. “I have been waiting for you. Why are you so late?”

“I… I just talked to someone before I left the store,” she said.

I let go of her and my eyes widened after I looked at her face. “Mira? What happened to you?”

She looked at me with her confused and swollen eyes. “H-huh?”

I held her cheeks and stared at her eyes. “You cried, right? Why? What could be the reason for your tears? Who the hell made you cry?”

She didn’t answer but after a while, she shook my hand away and hugged me.

I frowned but I let her hug me. “As far as I know, I am the one who always likes to hug so I am getting goosebumps on what you are doing right now,” I said. ”Can’t you tell me what happened? Maybe I can help you or even lessen the pain that you’re feeling.”
