She swung her small legs back and forth while sitting on the top of a cabinet wardrobe. Darius had held her like a baby from beneath her armpits before making her climb the high place from where she could not come down on her own.

“Daddy, you look nice from here.” His lips twitched when he saw her watching him with interest, both arms holding her own face making secret dreamy eyes at the cake beside him.

“The air is also cooler but if you let me down I will let you play with my hair.” She made a gesture of crossing her fingers behind her back while showing him a smile from ear to ear.

It was bad to lie but for a chocolate cake one has to take drastic steps.

“With how much sweets you eat, it’s not a big surprise that your teeth might fall off one day, baby.”

“Daddy, then would you love me without my teeth?” She blinked slowly, long lashes framing the green forest eyes looking at him in interest as her head tilted a little like an adorable confused kitten
