Chapter 42. The Plight of Ethan
Ethan’s POV
[That night, at Ethan’s house]
“…een yet another attack here in Edgewater. Interviews with the locals reveal that they believe it is the wrath of the dei…”
“Shut up,” I mumbled as I turned the TV off with the remote. “Urrghh!” I groaned as I sat up. I could feel some pain and stiffness in my back.
“How long have I been out?” I wondered as I stretched my back, twisting my upper body about my hips. I looked around and there were empty cans of beer littered all over the living room, along with a half-eaten pizza on the table.
“Geez, this place is a mess,” I muttered and then stood up to clean up. I took the vacuum cleaner and vacuumed the entire house, then I gathered all the trash and took them out. I headed back inside and headed to the kitchen to make dinner. I opened the fridge to check what options I had.
