Chapter 50. Striking the Beast
Natasha’s POV
As we walked through the forest, Bleidd stopped (and he was the one leading the expedition since he was also the one who lost my sister to begin with).
“What is it?” I asked.
“There’s a familiar scent here,” he said. I sniffed around for a few seconds.
“Well, I don’t smell anything,” I said.
“Yeah, it’s really really cloaked,” he said, “and it’s coming from that direction,” he said, pointing in the direction of the scent.
“Well let’s check it out,” I said. And so we walked towards the point where the scent was most concentrated. As we moved through the thick vines, we felt the serene silence of the night weigh on us. I hoped deep down that it wasn’t the beast, yet some part of me wished it was. We approached with anticipation and suddenly…
“Boom!” some said from behind us. The three of us screamed in response as Maggie tripped and fell on top of me and then I on top of Bleidd.
“Hahaha, you guys are really funny,” h
