Chapter 48. Ethan Returns
Ethan’s POV
[Ethan’s house, at night]
“Crunch!…crunch!…crunch!” the popcorn sounded as I chewed on it, watching a movie or rather staring mindlessly at the TV.
“This shit is boring man,” I said and then took the remote from beside me and flipped through the channels. Then I stopped at CNN. Another headline about another death by the killer in the forest.
“It’s the beast again,” I muttered. I was really pissed at whatever that beast was. Just thinking about the prospect of death pissed me off even more so than usual, considering the fact that all I had been thinking about for the past few weeks was my mom’s death. I missed her so bad.
“I’ve gotta kill this thing,” I thought, “and I’ve gotta do it fast,” I muttered. Then I dropped the bowl of popcorn on the couch and got up quickly.
I went to get some clothes and then left the house. I was headed to the forests to find the beast myself and put an end to this.
