Thank the heavens he mentioned the papers. I forgot about that document and just left it hanging on a board in my office. I call that board 'Unwanted', so that's where I pinned the papers.
Now that he's asking for it, it's best he carries this nonsense away from my pack. Anything that will tie me to this man and his daughter, I am ready to scatter it.
"I'll do as you have said, Alpha, " Jerome obeyed, ready to head back into the building and get the papers. Only for Deron to quickly stop him in his track, saying, "Why are you being hasty? I was only playing around."
He cackled, bumping one of his men to laugh with him. The four men followed him to chuckle out, looking confused.
