Chapter 91. Fear

Victoria’s POV

When I opened my eyes, there was nothing but darkness. My head throbbed, a sharp, relentless ache, and my limbs felt as if they were weighed down with lead. Panic swirled through me as I tried to move, only to feel the rough bite of rope against my wrists and ankles. I was tied, bound so tightly that every small movement sent sharp stabs of pain shooting through my joints.

I swallowed hard, my throat dry and raw, as I tried to piece together what had happened. I remembered leaving the office later than usual, craving Chinese food.
