His heart painfully clenched when her expression changed, the feeling of helplessness evident, her heart was broken and fire like agony flowing in her veins. To accept Alpha Adrian she had invested her heart and soul and still could feel repulsive of his touch. If this god in front of whom every single human, werewolf and all creatures surrendered why did he not come to save her if he truly was her mate?
She seemed lost, her eyes glistened with unshed tears yet Persephone didn’t let them fall, instead she tried avoiding his eyes that reflected unquestionable and undisputed affection.
The wolves watched the two incredulously as it dawned on them who Persephone’s mate was. Elders predicted their future…a very painful torturous life or maybe there would be utter damnation of their souls.
