“I’m so fucking sorry, Lily. If I knew it was that bad, I wouldn’t have…” Mia’s voice buzzes through the mind-link, all guilty and whiny.

I sigh hard, kicking my feet in the air before letting them slam down onto the bed. “It’s alright. I’m just… so fucking exhausted.”

“And he’s still refusing to talk to you?”

“Yeah,” I groan, rolling onto my side to stare at the wall like it holds all the answers to my miserable love life. “He’s at the café right now. I went there, like, three times already, and he wouldn’t even look at me. Mia… do you think he wants to end things?”
