Okay, so Mark and Lucas are full-on staring daggers at each other, and somehow, I’m stuck in the middle of this death match.
“What the fuck is he doing here, Aria?” Lucas growls, eyes still locked on Mark like he’s seconds away from launching at him.
I hold up my hands. “Lucas, calm the fuck down. My car broke down, and he just gave me a ride home. That’s it.”
“Really, Aria?” Lucas scoffs. “And you couldn’t fucking call me or something?”

“Hold up,” I say, crossing my arms. “Lucas, I did call you. I mind-linked you, remember? Or did you suddenly develop amnesia? You were the one who ghosted me.”
