I can’t believe I let Mark drag me into his fucking car. Like, seriously, how did I end up here? He’s literally the reason I’m in this mess. My friends are pissed at me because I still talk to him, Lucas is missing, and now I’m soaking wet, sitting in his car, and questioning every life decision I’ve ever made.
But let’s be real…I if I hadn’t gotten in willingly, Mark would’ve thrown me over his shoulder like a damn caveman. So here we are.
“Are you alright?” he asks, watching me as I wipe my face with the hand towel he tossed at me. “Are you cold?”
“I’m fine. I’ll be alright,” I sigh, rubbing my wet hair with the towel.
“Aria, what the fuck happened? Why were you out in the rain crying?”
I ignore his question and shoot one back. “How did you even find me? Were you stalking me?”
He groans, clearly used to this accusation by now. “Why do you keep calling me a stalker?”
