Mark and I finally find the so-called sea, and surprisingly, it doesn’t even take that long. We just use Google Maps in the car, and boom…Carlson River. Guess the witch wasn’t totally full of shit.
But now, as we sit in the car, I can feel my heart pounding so hard it might just crack a rib. My hands won’t stop trembling, and no matter how much I try to shake it off, the anxiety is just too much. I have no idea what we’re about to walk into, but I just keep hoping it’s not bad.
I don’t know what I’ll do if something happens to Lucas. I really don’t. I don’t think I’d be able to handle it. This is my fault…I let him go.
