Chapter 4

I walked to the meeting room with no energy. I swear I hate feeling like this. I was hoping that Sky would change his mind. I was hoping that having dinner with Rick would lighten up my mood. 

“Hey, Deandra.” I smiled at Stuart.

“Hey, morning Stuart.” 

“Morning, everyone.” I wanted to roll my eyes so bad but I can’t just roll my eyes in front of Stuart. I turned to Sky and he looked at me in horror.

“What are you doing here?” He asked and I turned to Stuart. 

“You’re both are the main lead, didn’t Stephanie tell you?” Stuart looked at him confused.

“Hello Sky, I’m Deandra. You new partner.” I said and then Stuart gathered everyone to start the meeting. 

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I heard Sky mumble and I laughed. I sat side by side with Sku and they gave him another copy of the script. 

“We’re lovers?” He looked so dumb for asking that and some people looked at him confused.

“That’s such a stupid question, Sky. Of course, we are. It’s a romance movie.” I pinched his thigh and he glared at me. The scriptwriter, Jenny, she started to lead us in reading the script. 

I followed the flow but there’s shockingly a lot of skinship and one explicit scene. Every time there’s a note for a cute scene, Sky glances at me. I kept my poker face on. After 3 hours long of reading and asking for opinions, I leaned my body back to my seat.

“When will the filming start?” 

“In a month, we still have some places that we need to double-check for filming.” He said and I nodded. 

“Why.. you want to act with me so bad?” Sky whispered.

“Of course, not. That’s ridiculous. I don’t even want to see your face.” I glared at him and he rolled his eyes. 

“I really need both of your chemistry because I bet this movie will be so good if the two of you are close.” Stuart said and I nodded.

“Don’t worry, we won’t let you down.” Sky said and he turned to me smirking.

“Good to hear that.” Stuart clapped his hands.

“We’re actually thinking about making this a series instead of a movie. We’ll be back to you guys in a few days, we have to discuss it with the streaming provider again.” Jenny said and I sighed. 

“Okay.” 

“The storyline is good.” Sky said as he kept reading something. 

“We really hope this will be viral because everyone loves this type of romance.” Jenny said.

“There’s so many sweet scene.” He then turned to me and smirked.

“Can’t wait.” I said in a sarcastic tone and he chuckled. 

“It’s a wrap for all the actors and actresses, all the property, wardrobe and production team please stay.” Stuart said. I thanked everyone and got up from my seat. 

“Such great news.. we will stick together like glue.” Sky said in his cheery tone but I know he’s full of sarcasm. 

“Nightmare.” 

“I don’t think you will say that after filming, sweetheart.” He smirked and I looked at him completely disgusted. 

“Don’t call me that, I want to puke.” 

“You’ll like it later.” I smacked his arm so hard that he glared at me so hard.

“I don’t know what Rick sees in you.”

“You know him?”

“He’s my friend and of course I know about him liking you. He’s obsessed.” Sky looked at me with an unreadable expression.

“I’m a wonderful person, no wonder guys fall for me.” I said arrogantly. 

“I’m not.” He looked at me.

“Not yet, you’ll fall for me soon. Don’t come to me later when you realize your feelings.” 

“Why would I fall for someone like you? You have a heart like Ursula from The Little Mermaid.” I sighed when he said that. 

“Let’s see about that..”

“I won’t like a girl like you anyway, pathetic.” He laughed. I walked out and met up with Jess. I’m going to dinner with Rick but I’m still so pissed at Sky. I went home to take a shower and changed into my comfortable outfit. 

“Hey, Andra.” I turned to see my dad and I hugged him.

“Heard that you got a new job.” 

“Yeah, a new movie. Where’s mom?” I asked looking around.

“She’s meeting her friend, where’s your twin?” 

“I don’t know and simply don’t wanna know.” He laughed.

“I’ll call him later.”

“I’m going on a date.”

“Where and with who?” I raised my eyebrows. 

“I’m just curious.” 

“You’ll know about it later.. if I like him.” I smiled and kissed his cheek.

“Have fun.”

“Thanks, Dad!”
