Burdened

"How is your godmother?" Mr Sharma asked Rai

Rai's thought was interrupted by his question.

"She is a bit better now." He replied him.

He kept glaring at Sonia who made no effort giving them privacy.

When Sonia raised her head up and saw Rai's intense gaze at her, she rolled her eyes and stood up.

"I'm sorry sir, I have to get something." She said to Mr Sharma.

"Okay, no problem. Take care of yourself." He replied her.

She smiled and nodded in positive response to him. Then she walked away totally ignoring Rai.

Rai sat down beside his godfather as he thought about different ways he would asked about his conversation with Sonia.

Mr Sharma noticed how squinted Rai's eyes were, he knew he was curious about what he had discussed with Sonia.

"I didn't know she was an orphan." He said to him to ease his curiosity.
