Chapter 42

Few Hours Earlier in New York

Vedika was perplexed when she heard the news about her sister. She couldn't believe what was happening.

It was all like a dream to her. After one week of being unconscious, she was hoping she would hear a good news from India. But no, all she got was bad news.

She sat down on her bed as she started sobbing. It was late in the evening at New York. She was about to go to bed when Rohit called her.

Vedika was broken. She just sat on the bed with her phone on her hand. She was eargely waiting for an update on the operations.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realised when Amaya walked in.

"Hey" Amaya said as her eyes scanned Vedika's room.

Amaya's noticed how sad Vedika looked. She was with Vedika earlier but Vedika was quite fine then.

She had gone back to the room to ask Vedika about her sister's health. And possibly questions about Vedika's nephew.
