Chapter 20

Emma’s POV

The look Lily finally settled for scared the shit out of me.

She looked at me like I said I had been kissed by an ogre.

I was starting to feel worse than I should.

“Chase kissed you?” She asked again.

“Yes. And please stop being so loud. They can almost hear us.” I was referring to Gray and Chase who were just a few feet away.

“You should know better than that, Emma.” Lily sounded so off, I felt like I had pissed her.

But it really shouldn’t have been such a big deal. Lily was blowing it out of proportions, and it hurt.

“What if it was a dare? Or a bet?” People got together for all sorts of things. But there was a high possibility of that, something I never thought about.

“It can’t be.” I said, unconvincing. I didn’t even believe in myself.

“Alright, Missy. Whatever sinks your ship.” Lily said rudely, flashed a smile at Gray who was already looking at us funny and focused on getting us home.
