Emma’s POV
I was sorely mistaken.
I understood the power Chase had on the girls in school. If he was that good after a three day trip, when all everyone wanted to do was rest, then he definitely was H I M!
I got back home to my mom and Mark getting at it in the living room, shamelessly.
Ridden with too much moral guilt to talk, I went up as quietly as I could.
I was ready to forget what happened, but with everything I did, my mind always seemed to wander back there.
It was not something I could forget in a jiffy.
“Hey. How was your trip?” Mom asked the next morning.
My legs felt like spaghetti.
“It was nice.” I answered curtly.
I had only begun to feel guilty.
The last night was magic, the next day was hell to pay.
She looked quite unsatisfied. “Did anything spectacular happen?” My mom asked, pressing further.
