Emma’s POV

Chase came and sat right next to me as I predicted.

Lily still didn’t move a finger.

“What’s going on?” I whispered in her ear.

“I don’t want to talk right now.” She said back.

“Why?” I asked her.

“Cause we’re in class?” She sounded quite sassy, but I wasn’t ready to back down.

Just then, Jessica passed by.

“Man and wife, bitch and man.” She said, Grayson was sitting on one end, Lily followed, I did, then Chase.

I didn’t need to be told that she was referring to me.

Shockingly, Gray acknowledged her.

I looked at Chase to check if he saw the exchange they had just happened, and I confirmed he did.

His look wasn’t pleasant.

“What’s going on man?” I read the note he passed to me and looked at him.

“Pass it on to Gray.” He said. I passed it to Gray, boycotting Lily. I doubt she would touch anything Chase touched even with the longest of spoons.
