Chapter 57. Bitch, Be Gone

Wren POV

“Oh, honey…” My bottom lip juts out as Hannah sniffles, a tear rolling down her cheeks. “Come here.”

She runs into my arms and I pick her up, giving her a long hug.

“I’ll come back before you know it,” I whisper. “I promise. I’ll make sure your daddy brings me back.”

“T-tomorrow?”

Ezra gives a subtle shake of his head, but I see how it breaks him. Noah stands beside Beth, not seeming to care either way.

Hannah and Noah are so different. But their difference makes everything better.

When Ezra and I arrived at Beth’s late last night, I didn’t expect Hannah to be all over me the next morning. We spent the whole day together with Noah chipping in whenever he feels like it.

It was a perfect day, and now we’re leaving but Hannah doesn’t want me to.

And I don’t want to leave her either.

“Look at me,” I urge. “How about you and I plan a special hangout few weekends from now. I’ll stay the whole weekend wit
