Jacob’s POV

When Dale reminded me that her maid only has a similar name to a woman I used to know, I nodded my head in agreement because he was telling the truth.

I wasn’t blind to know that Dale’s maid was not the woman I used to love so much. Or should I say that she was the first woman who made me question my self-worth, and that woman was the main reason why I left the pack, and became a rogue?

Once upon a time, I fall in love with a woman, whose status was below mine. Still, I chose to ignore our differences and went out with her, without knowing that she only did it for fun.

Yes, I was so naïve to fall for a seasoned woman, whose dream was to collect several powerful men to complete her list. I was so angry when I discovered the truth, but I wasn’t so naïve to admit I was hurting.

So, when my father decided to marry me off, I pretended it was okay, but the moment I realized the impact of an arranged wedding, I decided to leave the pack.
