Bethany’s POV

Jacob tried to make me pay for something over which I had no control. It was unfair, and he was annoying! Pedro and I had planned to eat dinner together, but he had to leave, so I waited for Jacob.

I waited in the living room until midnight, but he didn’t come home. I waited until one o’clock and then went to my room when he didn’t appear. I needed to sleep because it was late. When I closed my eyes, I could see his face, and I couldn’t help but worry about him. What is the reasoning behind this? I tossed and turned in my bed, hoping he’d arrive home safely.
