Amber’s POV

For several days, I wanted to confront Dale about the words I heard when he made love to me. However, Alpha Jacob came and I didn’t have a chance. Then, he left home without telling me where he was going.

I wanted to call him but I held myself, besides, there’s someone else at home whom I should take care of.

The new maid, an omega like me, whose name was Melanie, was an opportunist woman. Melanie had a talent for provoking my anger. Yes, she was prettier than me, but it wasn’t enough to tempt Dale into sleeping with her.

Knowing Dale, I realized that he was afraid of women, and sometimes, I wondered if I am the only woman who had the opportunity to grace his bed.

Since it has been a habit to stroll in the garden every morning, I was surprised to see Melanie in the garden as well. The woman was in her finery while taking a rest on the swing.
