[Events before Amber was pregnant]

Since then, I couldn’t stop thinking about her - the girl I had rescued in the forest. Ever since that day, she had been on my mind constantly. I wanted to see her again, to make sure that she was okay, but her family left their home and transferred to another.

I went back to the forest where I had first seen her, hoping to find her there. But she was nowhere to be found. I asked around, trying to see if anyone knew who she was, but no one could help me.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. I searched high and low, but I couldn’t find her. I didn’t even know her full name, so it was almost impossible to track her down.
